On Love and Justice

As of late, while others rightly focus on the season of Advent and all that Christmas has in store, I have been distracted by a number of disturbing personal and public matters. There seems to be a common thread in all of the things that are bothering me: the tension between love and justice. As a Christian I am well aware of the idea that love and justice are two sides of the same coin. They are perhaps two different manifestations of one truth – the truth of God’s very nature.
